Welcome New WCC Counselors to the Garland, Texas location.
Bryan Young, Counselor at Wylie Community Counseling, Garland, Texas
I have always enjoyed wrestling with big ideas. After I graduated college with a Master's in Philosophy from Criswell College, I started looking for a job and I quickly found myself unable to find a meaningful career. I was looking for something that would enable me to be a help for others so I decided to go back to school to get a master’s degree in counseling as well as a State License in counseling. I discovered much to my delight that most counseling happened to be based on the foundation that Philosophy provided, combining logic and science with the understanding of how emotions work.
Sometimes you need someone to talk with to help you change your perspective on your life and your emotions in order to recover from the tragedies of life. I would love to come alongside you and your family to help you all understand why it is hard for you to make the changes necessary to make the most out of life.
Aniceta (Cita) Rito, MS. - Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the State of Texas (supervised by Mysti Hively, LPC-S.)
Hello, my name is Cita. I am originally from New Orleans, Louisiana and I am an LPC- Associate. One of my proudest achievements, outside of earning my master’s degree in counseling from Grace University, was raising my two adult sons. I have worked in a school setting and private practice serving adolescents, individuals and couples by bringing a wealth of life experience, compassion and southern hospitality into the counseling session. I have a heart for sitting with those who feel broken and devalued, whether from grief, anxiety, depression, addiction or other life challenges.
I primarily use cognitive behavior therapy and am passionate about helping people recognize their strengths while empowering them to identify and manage the stresses and difficulties of life. My goal is to accompany you on your journey while tackling your concerns with respect to your individuality in the counseling sessions.
